We took a day trip to Corpus Christi Beach. Our family loves the ocean - we never get sick of it. We make several trips each year. So, when Grandma Francke came on a trip to see us we were so excited to take her. We've been to the ocean with her before and she is so much fun. She's like a kid herself. She walked the beach with Dallon collecting seashells, built sandcastles with Dawson, and played football like a pro. She is one fun grandma! This was Easton's first trip to the ocean. It was fun seeing him in his new suit and hat. He wasn't crazy about it - the wind and all. It was early in the season and the water was a little colder than we expected. In fact, us adults didn't even strip down to our swim suits. Grandma really wanted to boogie board - maybe next time it'll be warmer. We spent the day playing football, building sandcastles, and having a picnic on the beach. The boys absolutely loved it! When I put Dallon down to bed that night he said "Even though the water was cold, it was still one of the funnest beach days I've ever had." And then he wrote about it in his journal before going to sleep. So... even early in the season there is still plenty of fun to be had at the beach.

i almost cried looking at your pics...we love the beach too and never get to go. the summer of 2006 we took the kids to disneyland and the beach, and after the trip was over the girls said the beach was their favorite part. anyway...looks like you had a blast and i'm jealous! oh, thanks for the AI support!! ;)

I just found your blog in a round about way through Angie's. Anyway, I love your pictures. You have a really good eye for it. You're boys are so cute and it looks like you have the neatest family. I can't believe you're going to the beach. We woke up to more snow this morning. Guess what? I'm expecting again. So the big question is will I break my streak of boys? Or will I follow Camille and have boy #4? We're not finding out until the baby's born. Wait and see. Anyway, I'm glad I found you. I'll check in on you like I do Angie. Let me know if you're out this way again. I loved seeing you last August.
