Mickey's backyard BBQ was one of the highlights of our family trip for sure. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is making the trip to disney world. It's a BBQ dinner in a pavilion outside with 5 disney characters. The food was amazing... ribs, corn on the cob, salads, burgers, etc. And the part the kids loved best... all you can eat mickey ice cream bars and popcicles. So fun. There was a band that sang and put on a show. But the very best part was the interaction the kids got with the Mickey Mouse and his friends. It was tons of one on one time... hanging out and dancing with the characters. Our kids totally loved it!
Dawson was all about getting in on the dance floor and dancing with the characters. He always wanted to be as close to Mickey as possible. Mickey is his favorite character so he didn't care so much about dancing by the rest of them. Then came his special moment... when Mickey Mouse asked Dawson to help him lead everyone hand in hand in the locomotion. Dawson was beaming! It was an amazing moment. Afterwards, Dawson said, "Mom, he kissed me right here and right here." (as he pointed to his forehead and hand).

We took the ferry back to the Magic Kingdom for some rides and the fireworks. One of our favorite rides at the Magic Kingdom. Buzz Lightyear. Aaron is the all time champ.

I love the pins! what a fun thing to collect! tell the boys they both have some pretty great pins!
I can understand why you said your time there was magical. Your pictures tell it all. The pins will be treasures for the boys forever.
