Easton had his 18 month check up with his doctor. Everything looks good. He is a healthy happy boy. He weighed in at 28 pounds. He is in the 80th percentile on his height and weight right now. He also had a doctor appointment this week with the dermatologist. He has had bumps on his cheeks for about a year now. And a few months ago the bumps came in on his shoulders too. I was told he has Keratosis Pilaris. It's basically really sensitive skin. She told me that I need to use special laundry detergent, he needs white high thread count sheets, avoid colors because they are full of dyes and will make his skin look way worse. He needs special soaps, sunscreens, you name it. Anyway, turns out the bumps probably won't go away until he's around 18 years old. But by doing these things they can look better.
Easton is my "thank you boy". Because he is so sweet to always remember to say thank you! He thanks me for everything I do. All day long I hear "thank you". It's so refreshing! I love it! He also thanks himself for everything he does. When he is helping in the yard or in the house he will say thank you out loud each time he picks up a toy or puts a weed in a trash can. It's really adorable. Thank you Easton.
He has started yelling/squealing at the top of his lungs.... ALL DAY LONG. It's terrible. I sure hope this passes - and soon. I don't know if I should ignore it and act like it doesn't phase me, or get mad and beat him. It's so embarrassing to even take him in public because people just roll their eyes and say things like... "wow, he's got a set of lungs!"
He loves his big brothers and want to be big just like them. He loves to play ball and cars with them. He loves to be outside and I have to watch him closely to make sure he doesn't let himself out. He sleeps for 11 - 12 hours a night in his own bed. He is so easy to put to sleep, we just lay him in his crib. That is really nice. He loves to go into big brothers bedrooms. He gets into all their things and it makes them mad. (but that's what little brothers do right)?
He knows where his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears are. He will go get us a diaper out of the drawer if we ask him to so that we can change his diaper. Now, if only we could get him to take out the trash. ha ha. He is very destructive. The worst I've ever seen. He tears the house apart daily! It's so bad that Aaron recently suggested we lock him in a room. ha ha. He is a very busy boy and entertains himself with making messes. He loves his mommy's flip flops. And the pictures below are of him wearing a pair of them around the house. This is how he puts them on himself. So cute. We frequently find him like this.

He looks so big! His face has become more slender and less baby. He has grown so much! Where does the time go? Sorry about his poor little skin. Senstive skin is the worst but it does have it's benefits too. I got out of doing dishes all the time!
Wow, I never would have guessed he had such sensative skin. I think I honestly have only noticed the tiny bumbs when you told me about them. What a bummer though!!!
He is seriously SO adorable and Belle and I both adore him. He has always been so pleasent to be around. I can't believe he is 18 months!!!
Oh, he is so adorable! I can't wait to see him next week! His hair has lightened a lot.
Oh he is just growing up way too fast. That is too bad about his sensitive skin. Melissa had very sensitive skin also. Hope it all turns out OK.
He is so sweet and mellow every time I see him, I can't imagine him being a terror around the house like you described. From the sound of it, I think that he and Ben would get along very well.
How cute! He is now exactly twice the age of my little guy. This post isn't giving me much hope, however, because Alex squeals really loud, too. He squeals all the time, especially during sacrament meeting and family prayer, etc. I think it's his way of making sure he's got a place among all the other boys. Anyway, I was hoping the squealing phase would pass soon, but apparently I've got a ways to go. Have fun with all of your family.
