The highlight of scouting each year... the pinewood derby. We all love it. Dallon's car was sweet... and very fast! We had fun going as a family to cheer him on. Easton was adorable clapping and cheering. He loved watching the fast cars go by.
Here is a pic of some of the competition. Dallon's has the #4 sticker on it, second from the left. There were 20 cars racing tonight.
Dawson isn't a scout yet. But he loves building and creating. So making a pinewood derby car is right up his alley. He begged Aaron to please let him do a car. After the scouts race and the winner is declared they will let others who have brought cars race against the scouts. Dawson was ready and waiting for his turn.
Dawson finally got his chance to see how his car would compete against Dallon's. Dallon won. But Dawson will be back, determined as ever next year.

You're right! The pine wood derby is the highlight of the scout year. And with all of our boys, it's a good thing we all feel that way.
Dallon's car turned out sweet! I've never seen a car like that! I love it. That's fun that Aaron got back in time to go!
I agree Dallons car looks wicked awesome! That is so cute that Dawson wants to be a part of the festivities as well. Before you know it Easton will be making himself a car too, and racing it against Dawsons, they are growing up so fast!! I love them.
Cool looking car, Dallon. And Dawson is so sweet. I remember the post from last year and he built a car all by himself. Way to go.
