Up to this point, Dawson has never been a big saver. He spends his money as fast as he gets it. He has been sweet to help with a small amount of chores over the past couple years - but hasn't been able to work for a longer period of time to earn money. Over the past couple months he has asked to work for money several times. One day he worked a whole hour. And other days he worked 30 min. I was very impressed. I know that for his age that is a long time. He has saved his money instead of spending it a dollar at a time. And he was able to buy Chick's Hauler (off of the movie Cars) with the money he saved. $23.00 That was a lot of work to save up for it and I really am so proud of him. He was proud of himself too and is very excited about his new toy. (The other new cars in the pic were bought for him from Aunt Melissa, so sweet of her.)
Another sweet note slipped under my door from Dawson... my little sweetheart! He always knows how to make me feel special.
We went and saw The Lightning Thief after reading the book together. I had so much fun with Dallon discussing the movie and how it was different and similar from the book. It makes me want to read more books before seeing movies. That is fun.
Dallon lost 5 teeth in 2 weeks. Poor guy. It's been very painful for him. He has another one loose. Crazy. The dentist says that it's not very often that a child will loose so many of his teeth at the same time. On the bright side... Dallon is making bank from the tooth fairy!
We just got done having Grandma, Aunt Melissa and cousin Cody come to stay. Check back soon to see pics from all of that fun. They will be posted soon.

I love how excited Dawson looks with his cars! all the boys are so much fun and we miss you guys so much!
I shall treasure the memories of the boys playing with their cars, especially now that I have seen "Cars" :) and I will also treasure the memory of going to the movie to see "The Lightning Thief" with you and the boys. I miss you all so much.
I remember working for money when I was younger. The toys seem a lot more fun when you've worked hard for them. I have been such a slacker on my blogs.
