One of Dallon's favorite books is The Lightning Thief. He has read it two times himself over the past couple years. He has also read all of the other books in this series (5 total). He has been very excited about the movie coming out and I decided I wanted to get in on some of the fun! It's been a long time since I've read a book with Dallon. He has gotten into these big chapter books, and I've been busy reading to younger brothers instead. I told Dallon I was going to read the book The Lightning Thief so that we could go see the movie together. I really didn't think he'd be up for reading it a 3rd time... I just thought it would give us something in common, something fun to talk about. He jumped right in, and was very excited to read it together. Over the course of the last 2 weeks we read it and I have to say, I enjoyed every minute of it! Great book. So entertaining. Wonderful time spent with Dallon. I can't wait to go see the movie with him and the rest of my family this week.

This picture is so precious. I know I've said it before, but you are such a wonderful mom! I look up to you more than you know. Please don't ever stop blogging. I need it to remind me to enjoy the mishaps and messes and SIMPLE joys of each day. You are just fantastic. I wish we lived closer so we could hang out and such :) BUT, I'm now only 4 or so hours away from your dad! ANYWAY, keep up the good work. Your kids are so lucky!
i want my older girls to get into reading so we can read harry potter together. maybe i just need to make them and hope they end up enjoying it!! that picture is priceless by the way... so sweet!
