Easton found a box of muffin mix. He was trying to get into it, saying... "cookies, cookies". I told him they were muffins and we could make them together. It was his first time cooking with me. He loved pouring in the ingredients and stirring it up. After we put them into the oven to bake he sat in his chair at the table for the full 16 minutes while they cooked. He was so excited to try his muffins. After his first bite, he said, "delicious" (sounds like dewishus)! He was so happy to share his muffins with all of us and he loved it when we made a big fuss over his cooking.

Dallon did a week of football camp at a high school just 15 minutes away from our home. He loved it. He is excited for fall football to start up this week.
Aaron hurt his knee really bad playing basketball at work. He has been to the doctor a couple times now, had x-rays, had an MRI, and has spent time on crutches and in an immobilizer. We found out that he tore his ACL and his lateral meniscus. He now has a new ACL brace to wear and has scheduled surgery for the end of the month. Poor guy.
One day when I was driving down the road I hear Dawson in the back seat saying, "Mom, look how swollen my knee is. What can we do?" I said, did you hurt it? He said he didn't know what happened but he thought we should definitely get him some crutches. Faked a limp and everything that day just in hopes of getting some crutches of his own.
Dallon and Dawson entertaining themselves on a summer day.
And my little helper outside with me weeding. I was working hard that day and with each handful of weeds I would pick he would say... "Good job, Mommy". Like he was so proud of me. I love my little Easton so much.

Easton is so dang cute. Owen and Landon love baking together. Owen is pretty good at cracking eggs! We feel so bad for Aaron. Glad you guys made it home safe!

I feel bad for Aaron also, but I am sure that he will make it through the surgery just fine. By the way Aaron, you look great (you've shed a few pounds). The kids are all lovable and photogenic. Easton says the cutest things and I am glad you share with us. I always love your posts Jaimie - makes me feel like I am not so far away.
