We sent Dallon off to scout camp yesterday morning. He will be gone until saturday. We are all missing him. It's his first camp. The first time he has gone away, (and not been staying with grandparents). He was nervous and not sure he wanted to go. I'm sure he'll have a good time. Dawson and I sat down yesterday to write letters to Dallon. They said we could send the scouts mail. Dawson spent an hour making two of the sweetest letters I've ever seen. He is missing Dallon so much. It's refreshing! It's been so good for Dawson to miss Dallon, and it's made me feel good to see that even though they fight, they really do love each other... ha ha! So, here are Dawson's sweet letters to Dallon.
This first one he calls "the love bird". Dawson was very proud of this creation. The love bird reads... "This is your love bird. It has the most love that you can ever have. So make sure that you don't lose it."

The second card reads... "Thinking of you and I love you. You are my favorite first born. Ha Ha. Funny joke right. (This totally cracked Aaron and I up... the "you are my favorite first born, second born, third born" thing is something Aaron says to each of his boys often). I got a idea. When we pick you up we will take you to get icees right then. (he got that approved before promising it). When you get home the next day I will shoot hoops with you.

Those are super cute! I hope that Dallon has a great time on his first scout camp!
That is really sweet. I'm sure Dallon will have a blast at camp.
Did he go to Bear Creek?
Those are so cute. Michael was at scout camp last week, too. The parents are invited to come up and see the boys if they would like. Last year Michael wasn't sure, he was worried about being the only one with parents coming I think, so we didn't go. He ended up being the only one with parents who DIDN'T go! So this year we went and delivered letters from the brothers just like Dawson. He snatched them up right away and read them. I hate having him gone. So just and FYI: it's not easier for mom's the next year, but it's easier for the boys.
