Dawson got the nickname, "Nails" this season. His coaches and teamates were all calling him that. Nails, as in "tough as nails". He was hit in the head with the baseball several times and the coaches were surprised that he never once cried. One time he was hit in the forehead so hard with the ball that the threads left their mark for two days. He loved the nickname. And it was very fitting. He is one tough little boy.Dawson played the catcher position and did very well. He was the first batter in the line up all season long, and we could always count on Dawson for a hit. He played on the Cardinals and we all loved going to the games and cheering him on.

That is so cute that he loves his nickname. We just finished baseball yesterday. I'm glad he's alright after having been hit in the head!! Looks like he's a great ball player.
I love that they called him Nails. I just keep thinking about that poor kiddo getting hit in the head twice. He is tough as nails to not cry after! He is so cute. My little Dawser looks so old in these pictures. He is getting big so fast...AH! Love him!
He's a great little baseball player. His Dad played catcher also - it is a rough position to play.
