Back To School

I can't believe it's that time of year again.  And I really can't believe that Dallon is a fifth grader this year, and Dawson is in first.  My boys are growing up too fast.  Dawson was so excited for school to start. He was counting down the days for the last week and a half of summer.  Dallon wasn't excited for school to start.  He's a little older and knows that with school comes homework and was happy to enjoy every last drop of summer.  These pictures were taken the on the morning of the first day of school.  We always walk them to school as a family on the first day.  It's fun to spend that time with them.  I love these pictures because it's the two of them walking just like they do everyday.  It captures this time when they are in the same elementary school.  I love that they go to school together.  It gives me peace of mind knowing they are both there in the same building. Like somehow, they can look out for each other.  I love hearing that they saw each other in the halls and said "hi".

As excited as Dawson was for the first day of school, he was nervous once it came.  I love that Dawson wanted to hold my hand the whole time because he was a little nervous. He was holding on pretty tight as we walked through the halls of the school, and I loved it!  It's nice to be needed and to give comfort and support.  Both of the boys did great on their first day and are really happy about the new school year.

I can't believe either that Dawson is already in the fifth grade. They are both definitely growing up way too fast. Great shots. Love to you all.

Hey Jamie Thanks, I am always looking at your picture you take, I love them. You have cute kids too. I had a lot of fun this weekend getting to know your little brothers, they are great kids, my kids were sad to see them leave.

I miss my boys when they go to school. I love them holding on to my hand, too. Like you said, it's nice to feel needed, and I know it won't last. Nice pictures, of course. Hope all is well.

I can't believe how much they are growing up! It makes me sad to think that Owen will be there one day.
