Arrow Of Light

Dallon earned his Arrow of Light for cub scouting right before his 11th birthday! It was lots of work for him there at the end, but he had made up his mind that he wanted that sweet arrow. He'd seen a friend of his in scouting receive "the arrow" and wanted one real bad. Both his Dad and I are all so proud of him for his hard work and determination. He was awarded the Arrow of Light on April 13th. The arrow is so stinkin' cool... I can see why he wanted one. There wasn't anyway to display it though. I wanted for him to be able to display it in his room... so this is what I came up with. I'm so happy with how it turned out and am glad for Dallon to have a neat way to display his accomplishment!

writtten on my note to Dallon...

Dear Dallon,
I am so proud of you for working so hard in scouting to earn your Arrow of Light. The highest award any cub scout can earn. You put a lot of effort and time into this over the past few years and you have accomplished something really great! You can do anything you set your mind to Dallon! If you set goals, and work hard, you can make all of your dreams come true! Believe in yourself! And always remember... I believe in you. I am proud of you, and I love you!!!
With love, Mom

Thanks for the idea on displaying the arrow. I'm going to do that now. Michael's poor arrow has been balancing on the top of his bulletin board. Good job, Dallon. That's a lot of hard work.
