Dawson invited Aaron and I to a reading restaurant in his classroom one evening last week. When we arrived at the school Dawson entered the classroom, while we waited in the hall for a table. When a table was available, our server Dawson, came out to greet us... "Welcome to Ms. Jackson's Flower Power Cafe" he said. "Your table is ready... please follow me". He showed us to our table which was covered in a beautiful table cloth with pretty flowers. Then he handed us our menu which was colored beautifully. On the menu there were several choices for us to choose from. There were books for appetizers, main courses, and desserts too. We could choose which book we'd like to have and Dawson would then read it to us. It was so clever and so cute. We really enjoyed hearing him read to us at the reading restaurant.
He had made this fun book all about himself to show his parents too. It's amazing. I loved it. There are several pics of some of his writings inside. I felt so lucky to have it dedicated to me.
He was very proud to show us that he had made a power point presentation to show us. He was feeling pretty cool that he could work the computer all by himself.

It was such a wonderful evening. I left hand in hand with Dawson. I love that he still loves to hold my hand. My heart was so full. I am proud of him. And it's so fun to get to share in his life with him.

Oh - so very touching. Great pictures and I love his tie die shirt and the peace symbol on his book. What a creative idea of his teacher to plan the event.
What a cute idea! Way to go...Teach! I really will share this with my school because it is such a great idea. Anyways, loved it and loved him. He is the cutest. I can just imagine how much he would have loved that event. Especially since he loves playing store, restaurant etc. You're just lucky that he gave you your food without it costing big bucks. Last time I was there he demanded lots of money for a bag of chips! Ha ha. Love it! He's a smart kid and reminds me a lot of myself as a kid :)
That is so cute! It made me tear up to know that he still holds your hand! I hope Owen still will at that age. That whole idea of the Reading Restaurant is so fun!
That is the cutest thing I have ever heard! I bet he loved that! I still can't believe he is that old! I feel like he should still be a toddler!
