Easton's 3rd birthday... Dec. 28th

He loved having a cars birthday party. He loved the decorations in the house and you could tell he felt so special that it was his party. He loved his cars cake, balloons, and each and every new car he got for his birthday. He loved having us sing to him. He loved dancing around to music with balloons that night.

He loves to hold up three fingers now when asked how old he is. I've noticed over the last few weeks if someone has asked him his name he has just held up the three fingers. ha ha. Like that's all they need to know, right?

Easton's cars are his favorite toys! He plays with them every single day... for hours a day. The first thing he does every morning after getting out of bed is head straight for his cars. Before I can even get him some breakfast he is usually so into his play that it's hard to get him to eat. In fact, as I uploaded the second to last photo into this post (the one where there is cake and ice cream on a plate in front of him, but he just kept on playing with his cars), I thought to myself, how true that picture really is of him. He didn't eat that birthday cake. He let the ice cream melt too. He was so into playing at that moment that I don't know if he even noticed that everyone around him was eating cake and ice cream. Which makes me think of this last Christmas morning too. Santa gave him toy story toys. Once those toys were out of the box he started enjoying them and playing. Then the rest of us started opening our presents under the tree. The boys tried to get him to open presents. He tuned them out. He was so busy making woody talk to buzz and so on... that we had finished our Christmas before we were able to talk him into being interested in presents. He was so into his play time, that it seemed he didn't even notice Christmas was going on all around him. It's so interesting to me. The other boys were never like that. He has a huge imagination. He makes his cars, and toys talk to each other and there is this whole entertaining show complete with sound effects going on if you just sit to watch.

He is still the best sleeper ever. Easy to put to bed. Sleeps in late. Takes a good nap. Gotta love it! He loves to sleep with Curious George. He is still attached to him. He loves to have us read books to him. Curious George stories are always his pick. His favorite cartoon is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It is the one he requests over and over. He is not a good eater - or big eater. I think it's because he loves to drink too much, and because he is always so into playing. Right now, I'd say peanut butter and honey on wheat is his favorite food. Milk and Apple juice he can't live without. He hates to have his hair washed. It's going to be a big ordeal every time - crying and screaming involved. It's rough. He is strong willed. Hopefully one day real soon he decides that it would be ok to start using the potty. Because we have tried to potty train without success. He talks well. He is good at talking on the phone and carrying a conversation. Better than the older boys really... ha ha. It's true though. Aaron and I laughed about that the other day. If you've ever tried to talk to Dallon or Dawson on the phone then you know what I'm talking about. He loves to count. He is always saying, "Mom, let's count!" He loves to say prayers. He loves playing with both his tinker toys, and bristle blocks. He wants a car every time we walk into wal-mart, which he calls "mal-mart". He loves to sing. He and I sing "You are my sunshine" together a lot. And another favorite song of his is "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam". Speaking of sunbeams... he is one now. He is the youngest little sunbeam in his primary class with the dec 28 birthday. He likes to go to church. He wears rain boots every other day. He loves our cats, Spots and Oreo. He is an easy child. He entertains himself. He is loving and kind. He's a helper. He is my little buddy who goes every where with me. And I can't even imagine living my life without him. He has brought me so much joy. I am so glad he is my boy.

What a wonderful commentary on your "littlest" guy. The pictures are great and as always you are able to capture his personality this way. Can't wait to see him and the rest of you - I am starting my count down :)

I really loved reading that post! It made me so sad that we don't get to see your boys grow up. I couldn't believe how many things Owen and Easton have in common right now. It made me sad that they don't get to play with eachother every day. Owen's top pick would also be Mickey Mouse and he totally hates getting his hair washed! It's always rough on hair washing day. Owen loves the Sunbeam song, too. Easton's cake is so cute! That is so precious how into his toys he is.
