Our family celebrated Dallon's 12th birthday at McAllister Park. We surprised Dallon with a new bike! He had wanted and needed one for quite some time. He was very excited! We had his party at that park because it has tons of trails for biking. And we thought, what could be more fun than family bike riding when you get a brand new bike? Easton and I had picked out his football cake, and some balloons. Dawson gave him the movie, Tron. I made Dallon a rag quilt for his birthday. It's made of lots of different football fabrics and he seemed to really like it. He told me after that he had told Dawson a couple days earlier that he was hoping I'd make him a blanket... isn't that sweet? We had a picnic at the park. Then after the party on we went to Dawson's baseball game. After the game, we went home to eat popcorn and watch that new movie. It was a simple birthday - but it was fun family time and he liked it.12 Random Things about Dallon...
1. His favorite ice cream is Cookies and Cream.
2. He loves the color red. Most all the clothes he owns are red and black.
3. He gets almost straight A's in school. He is a very good student.
4. He loves Lego's.
5. His nickname around our home is "Tappy". He loves music and must always have a song playing in his head, because he is constantly tapping the beat of the music on everything he goes by. He'll tap the beat on the kitchen counter, the hallway when he walks by, the dash of the car, etc. I'm sure it has a little something to do with the fact that he plays percussion in the 6th grade band at school.
6. His favorite food is homemade Calzones.
7. His favorite sport is basketball.
8. He is a book worm. He reads all the time.
9. He loves to go camping.
10. He is playing 7 on 7 football right now.
11. He has been taking piano lessons for 4 years now.
12. His favorite candy bar is Reeses.
The weekend after his 12th birthday Dallon moved up from Primary to Young Mens at church. He received the priesthood. He looked so handsome. We had family here for his special day. After church we all came to our home for lunch.

Happy Birthday Dallon. I'm so happy you are worthy and received the priesthood. It sounds like you are an amazing boy. Jaimie, the quilt is darling. I'm sure he'll love having something from his mommy. It's fun to see pictures of your family and also your parents and brothers!! Hope everything is good with you all...
Jaimie, tell Dallon that he is very, very handsome in his suit. He totally looks very grown up.
Okay so I have to make another comment here. I did not realize that the birthday blog and the young men's blog was an all in one :). I love the quilt that you made - where on earth do you find the time? And I have to say that I am delighted with the fact that Dallon is a bookworm - takes after his Dad. Hope you had a GREAT, GREAT birthday Dallon.
Jaimie I cannot believe Dallon is 12!!! It literally seems like yesterday that he was playing Buzz lightyear in the back seat of Mom's car! Crazy!
I can't believe he is 12, that is just crazy! He is such a handsome young man. Congrats to him for graduating from primary:)
