At the top of Enchanted Rock.
It rained really hard the first day. But it didn't slow the kids down.We love camping. And yes... we camp in tents. It's so fun! We had three camp sites and three tents for the 13 of us. Enchanted Rock was so beautiful. We biked, played in the rain, climbed trees, played croquet, hiked enchanted rock, caught tadpoles, roasted marshmellows, made smores, played horseshoes, went on climbing expeditions, and stayed up late talking around the campfire. We had a great campfire - thanks to Jaron for that. It's not easy to start a fire after a big rain storm when all your wood is wet. The first day was a little crazy at camp. There was a huge rain storm that hit before camp was totally set up. So everyone was drenched and a lot of our things were wet too... sleeping bags, pillows, suitcases, etc. But the kids loved all the water to play in. The squirrels and racoons were totally into our food. We thought we had come prepared to keep them out. The squirrels were busted eating a hole through a rubbermaid tote. And the cupcakes Em brought in a metal pan with a lid... oh yeah - they ate those too. The racoons broke into a cooler and ate over a dozen of our eggs we had planned to have for breakfast too. And to top things off our next door neighbors at the campsite were 4 lesbians with 5 dogs. ha ha. It started off a little bit rocky but it ended up being the best time. I love camping - getting outdoors, spending time doing things together, and seeing new places. Where should we go next year guys? Jaron and Em you better start planning your trip back for the family camping trip next year. It would not be the same without you.

Love it Jaimsta! These pics are super cute. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at them...and got a good laugh at a few of them, I have to admit.
wow looks like so much fun! I am jealous. We haven't been camping in awhile.
Hey it seemed like the greatest of times. Jamie remember the time we did our thing at the lake, in Utah. Watching Aaron with Easton being backpacked brings back great memories of when I did that.
The next great pack/survial campout should be scheduled in the beautiful BigHorns of Wyo. What do you think?
Great camping pictures. It sounds like you had so much fun. Also, I'm so glad that you're finally into the Twillght loop. I'm just dying for Aug. 2nd so I can get #4!
Crazy animals!! I can't believe they stole so much food.
