Dawson's Birthday - January 27th

The morning of his birthday he woke up really early... so excited about presents he could not sleep any longer. I got him into the tub to get ready for school, when out of the blue, he stands up and says, "do I look bigger?" It was so cute. He then says... "Now I'm as old as Spencer!" (it has drove him nuts that his cousin Spencer turned 6 three weeks earlier than him).

Aaron commented that morning that he has never seen a kid more excited about his birthday!

Easton and I were able to go to Dawson's classroom the day of his birthday to take birthday treats. It was so much fun. Dawson was so excited to have us there. It tickled me to see Dawson sitting in his teachers chair beaming while his class sang happy birthday to him. He handed out the ice cream sandwiches all by himself. And when it was time to leave... I wasn't sure if he'd want a hug, so I said goodbye and started to walk away. To my surprise, he yelled wait, and ran up to me in front of his class and wrapped his arms around my waist and told me thank you! Ok, I have to admit... it totally made my day.

This is Dawson and his teacher, Mrs. Shepherd. I totally love her. My favorite teacher any of my kids have had.
Dawson flying his GI Joe fighter jet that we gave him. He loved it!
We took Dawson out to dinner at a restaurant of his choice. The kids never get to choose the restaurant... so that was a big deal. He picked Fire House. A sandwich shop with a fireman theme, and you always get a free fire hat. Blowing out a candle. He is actually having a birthday party with a few friends this weekend... so he'll have his cake then. I'm sure there will be tons more birthday pics to be posted after this weekend.

He is so adorable! I love how fun it was for him to pass out his birthday treats to his school mates! Kindergarten is a great age!

Also, I am so proud of little Easton walking too. When we saw him on Sunday walking it totally shocked me. Belle has been pretending to walk like Easton all week...taking a few steps and then falling on her bum. She thinks it is so fun!

He is so cute and he definitely looks older! What a great idea to pass out ice cream sandwiches. I'll have to remember that!

Happy Birthday!!
What a cute post! I am so glad you were at card swap so we could chat! I still can't get over "high school sweethearts"! My parents were also high school sweethearts! In June it will be 33 years!

That blows my mind that he is six years old! He should still be a baby. He is so beautiful Jaimie. I love all your kids so much and I can't wait to see you guys again.

So cute Jaimie! It's great to have your boys still give you hugs in front of everyone. I loved hearing that part.
