Happy 8th Birthday Dawson!

Dawson was so excited for his birthday that he counted down to it everyday since Christmas. I could ask him “how many days until your birthday?"... at any given time, and he always knew the answer. He never had to go count up the days. Now that's excitement! For his birthday we went to Chuck E Cheese as a family to party. He had decided on that months in advance. We all had fun playing games and eating pizza. He loved his birthday crown and was excited to open presents. He didn't ask for anything in particular so we just picked a few things out on our own. We gave him a spy gear briefcase full of secret codes, decoders, passports, a pen that is really a flashlight, binoculars, cell phone, etc. It was his favorite gift for sure. We also gave him a journal and a new baseball bat. (He loves his bat. He thinks it's sweet. But, he did say that it stinks that Easton's name is on his bat... ha ha! Said, "it's no fair that Easton's name is a brand"). We had the cake and ice cream at home. But hauled the presents to Chuck E Cheese, because he let us know that's it's not a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese if you don't take your presents there.

8 things you might not know about Dawson...

1. He loves school lunch. His favorite meal there is nacho's with beef and jalepeno's.
2. He is taking piano lessons.
3. He is a grizzly bear in the mornings.
4. He loves the book, The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog. It's been a fave for years.
5. He likes to take baths.
6. He loves Nike t-shirts... the one he is wearing on his birthday (yeah, he wears that every other day).
7. He is playing basketball and is an amazing ball handler... you should see him dribble the ball.
8. He hates to sleep alone. When he has to he does it with the light on.

We love our Dawson!

I didn't realize you and Angie had children the exact same age. Her little girl, Annie, turned 8 on 2/13. Your families should get together sometime!
