About an hour or so after Dawson and I finished cleaning up his room together he came to me and said... "Mom, something is missing in my room." "Did you take something that was under my bed?" I asked what he was looking for. He said "some papers from someone." (as he said "someone" he ducked his head and had a big smile on his face). That tipped me off. I just knew he must be talking about his new girlfriend. I asked who they were from and sure enough. He said "Merideth." (I remembered throwing lots of papers away from under his bed. To be honest I didn't look at a single one. Just busy cleaning things up and getting it done. So... Dawson and I went and dug them out of the trash together.) When I saw them with all the hearts and "I love you" I was shocked! I still can't believe he had love notes stashed under his bed.

That's hilarious. I miss that little guy. I never thought he would get taken from me, "his sweetheart" so soon. I think that I may have to check this "Merideth" out and see what she is all about. I don't want him getting love notes from someone who doesn't deserve him :)

Oh my gosh. I can't believe that they are giving out love notes at that age! I'm not sure if I'm proud to have the same name as her or not! She is wanting to have sweet, little Dawson for her own!
What a trip. Never heard of love notes at his tender sweet age.
Maybe you'll have to clarify about "girlfriend" tell him you meant that he can have as many "girl" friends as he wants (friends that are girls). He's young though. When one of my sisters was in the 7th grade her "boyfriend" broke up with her because their lockers were too far apart.
Jaim, this is hilarious! What are you going to do? It seems like this stuff is starting younger and younger. I am not looking forward to that! Keep up the good blogging!
